I’ve got two news for you – one good, one bad. The bad one is that Mac Pro is being taken off the shelves in Europe because it doesn’t comply with one of those silly Soviet Union European Union laws.
The good news is that you still have till 1st of March to grab your Mac Pro, and to make it even more irresistible, you can get a factory-refurbished model for a laughable £1,489 which is more than 550 pounds off.
Mac Pro is an ultimate machine and it’s a must-have if you’re doing serious graphic design or video editing work.
And trust me, it’s a lot from an “I’m a PC” type of guy to say that 🙂 (Although, I’ll be honest with you, it’s a bit outdated at the moment – it’s seen only minor updates since 2010)
The base model comes with a 2.8GHz Quad-core Intel processor, 3 Gb DDR3 RAM, 1Tb hard drive and a dedicated 1 Gb ATI video card.
Another place to go for a last minute Mac Pro shopping is Amazon. But you have to be quick. There are only 9 units left in stock as we speak and I doubt the stock is going to be replenished. The 6Gb RAM machine goes for £2,100 while the super-duper 12Gb unit costs £3,300.
If you know of another place where one can get a good deal on a Mac Pro, please add a comment or get in touch. Surely, Apple will look to replace the Pro with a similar agency-class machine? This post about the ageing Mac Pro provides some speculation into what the future might hold for the next “large” Mac but we don’t really know because there hasn’t been any word from Apple yet.
